It might have taken 23 race starts but the connections of 5-year-old trotter Demolition Man can finally celebrate the joy of victory.

Demolition Man now has a maiden victory to add to his 11 second placings and pair of thirds.

Coolly driven by Kyle Marshall, Demolition Man got away well from the standing start and then settled in the trail for the first lap.

Turning for home in the 2200m opening event at Cambridge Raceway, Marshall took advantage of the passing lane to storm home in the Kidz Kartz Course Starts Jan 18th. Book Now Trot.

The drive, for trainer Trevor Phillips, means the connections have earned more than $21,500 in stakes, despite the battle to finally claim a win.

Meanwhile, in other results on the night, Kyle Marshall drove Suidelike Major into a fast-finishing second (paying $5.60 a place) and 3-year-old Whooshka ran third in her racenight debut for Kyle Marshall Racing.
