The wins keep coming for Kyle Marshall Racing as Son Of Mac won back-to-back races with an easy win at Melton.
The three-year-old colt provided the stable with its fifth win since relocating from Cambridge in New Zealand.
And he made it look easy.
Drawn on the second row, trainer Marshall dropped Son Of Mac into eighth spot until the field settled.
Then, he took the race favourite around the inside lane runners and took the lead with a lap and a half to go.
With 500m left in the race, Marshall gave Son Of Mac his head, and the colt cleared out to win by almost 20 metres.
The win gave Marshall five wins and two placings from his last seven drives in the sulky.
Son Of Mac’s two wins follow recent victories from Smoken Ace (two wins) and Wharewhiti.
Son Of Mac paid $1.10 for the win and $1.04 for the place at the Australian TAB.
