Stablemates Ruebe Starbuck and Smoken Ace will contest mile events at Saturday’s Melton meeting.
Ruebe Starbuck has drawn well in a $15,000 feature for mares in the second race.
Smoken Ace will get the chance to improve on his last start second when he starts from lane 2 behind the mobile barrier in a $17,500 feature late in the programme.
Both have been knocking on the door lately, with placings, and will have their supporters on the tote.
Ruebe Starbuck has opened at $14 with fixed odds bookmakers, while Smoken Ace is showing $9 for the win.
Note: Ruebe Starbuck is also nominated to race at Cranbourne on Sunday.
