Four-year-old mare Sweet Treat has tasted victory at the Cambridge Raceway workouts as she prepares for her next race campaign.
She was the third winner of the day at the workouts, following easy wins by two-year-olds Cormac Leo and Rustenberg in earlier races.
Head of Racing Kyle Marshall says Sweet Treat is likely to race at Cambridge on January 27 and the workout win was encouraging.
Sweet Treat had six races in her first campaign for Kyle Marshall Racing, winning once. She’s had six months to get ready for her return to the raceway and looks in good order.
Marshall took her straight to the lead and controlled the pace, staying in front of the six-horse field as they turned for home. She held her lead, winning by a length.
