Well-bred Yogi Son to take on 2-y-o field in mobile trot at Rangiora

posted in: News, Uncategorized

After two winning trials in the South Island, Yogi Son will race at Rangiora’s afternoon meeting this Friday (November 4).

The regally-bred colt is out of four-win mare Yankeedoosie, a full-sister to multiple Group One winner I Can Doosit and Group Three winner Sno’s Big Boy, and the dam of Group One performer American Pride and five-win gelding Forget The Price Tag.

He was bought as a yearling through Breckon Farm’s 2021 New Zealand Bloodstock Standardbred Yearling Sale draft and was taken south last month with Kyle Marshall Racing stablemate Son Of Mac, a winner at Addington in late October.

Yogi Son has had one career start so far, a fifth in his debut at Cambridge.
