New Zealand pacer Bach will line up for his second start in Australia when he contests a $17,500 feature at Melton on Saturday.
The five-year-old gelding crossed the Tasman to settle at the Kyle Marshall Racing stables ahead of the $100,000 Decron Gold Cup in mid-February.
Midway through the race, he locked wheels with a rival, ending the chances of both.
Bach will know his way around the Melton track, having won a five-horse barrier trial there on January 30, over the same 1720m distance he’ll race on Saturday.
