Bach to make Australian debut in $100,000 Gold Cup at Cranbourne

New Zealand pacer Bach will contest the $100,000 Decron Cranbourne Gold Cup on Saturday.

The five-year-old gelding has crossed the Tasman to settle at the Kyle Marshall Racing stables ahead of the big race at Cranbourne.

He won a five-horse barrier trial at Melton on January 30 to prepare.

Bach has career earnings of NZ$104,824 from 29 starts, of which he has won eight and been placed three times.

Meanwhile, Lanning was scratched from the Cranbourne meeting, having run second at Friday’s Melton meeting.
