In-form Marshall stable salutes the judge again as Son Of Mac powers home

posted in: News

Son Of Mac has provided the in-form Kyle Marshall Racing stable their fourth win since moving to Victoria from New Zealand.

The three-year-old colt easily won his Australian debut, winning over a mile at Kilmore on Thursday (June 29).

The win backs up recent victories with Smoken Ace (two wins) and Wharewhiti.

From the second row at the mobile, trainer Kyle Marshall manoeuvred Son Of Mac into fifth spot, in the running lane, and he patiently waited till a lap to go before taking the youngster forward.

With 400m to go, Son Of Mac pulled alongside the race leader, and then Marshall let him go, and he cruised to the finish line.

Son Of Mac paid $1.20 for the win and $1.04 for the place at the Australian TAB.
