Kyle Marshall Racing’s first training success at the track came on September 21, 2018, when Alta Leonie won the $14,000 Natural Habitats Mobile Pace at Auckland’s Alexandra Park.
Marshall drove the winner home in 2:43.4 for the 2200m, beating a field of 10.
Over the next six months, the mare kept up her good form as a 5-year-old with more wins at Alexandra Park, Otaki and Stratford and a string of placings at North Island tracks. The wins included the Otaki Cup, the Stratford Cup and a placing in the Taranaki Cup.
